Director cameos:

Summary

One of Alfred Hitchcock's directorial quirks is that he would always insert himself in a cameo appearance in his films. Frequent directors Martin Wood and Peter DeLuise have continued that tradition in several of the episodes they have directed. Here is where they have been spotted:

Peter DeLuise

Played "young Urgo".

Guard who ordered a team to "Go go go go" when O'Neill first arrived on Level 28.

Played the Tok'ra who escorted Teal'c and O'Neill to the high council chamber, was the first to get knocked down by Teal'c in his wrath to find Tanith.

DeLuise was the airman who helped Daniel up after Siler (Dan Shea, SG-1 stunt coordinator) knocked him down during a couple of time loops.

DeLuise did not appear, but named one of the characters (Loeder) after his girlfriend

DeLuise was lying on the floor (as a lower, lower cot) under and to one side of O'Neill while he looks at the white bowl)

PD (the director's initials) is spelt out in candles surrounding Teal'c; can be seen in observation window reflection

Airman at briefing room desk

Picture of him was one of the personnel files of the missing Russian team.

DeLuise was acting as the "Director" in the fake series Wormhole X-Treme while directing the actual episode.

His voice is the one which shouts "K'tano returns" as one of the extras

The sub operator Davis speaks to that is there to rescue the team from the sunken ha'tak. His nametag was Lt. Dagwood (which was the character he played on Seaquest:DSV).

Coming out of the diner the morning after Jonas and Teal'c have their showdown with the townspeople.

One of the Stromos passengers in stasis.

Although this episode was not directed by DeLuise, he has a cameo role as an airman sitting at the desk in the briefing room when Carter receives a call from Pete Shanahan. This scene is only included in the extended version of the episode.

Although this episode was not directed by DeLuise, like many of the crew in this 200th episode, he appeared on screen. This time he played the replacement actor for Col. Danning in Wormhole X-Treme

DeLuise's name appears on posters as running for class president in Mitchell's old high school (and episode writer Damian Kindler runs for class treasurer)


Martin Wood

Is in the SGC hallway when O'Neill is beamed away by Thor

He and Sgt. Siler collide with Daniel Jackson as he races down the hall in one of the first scenes

He is one of the people who checks on Siler after O'Neill knocks him down the staircase

Worked on rocket with Sgt. Siler and the big wrench

One of the villagers running to put out the fire set by Carter and Teal'c

Although not the director of this episode, like many of the behind the scenes crew. Martin Wood had a cameo in this episode. He was one of the NID men in black near Agent Barrett in the stand-off scene.

Helped maneuver McKay's EMP machine towards the Stargate

Operating a camcorder in the "dream sequence" where Felger and Coombs get their medals. (He's standing next to Siler).

Major eating a banana in the elevator during the teaser scene with Jonas.

MW was not the director of this episode, but appears in the background with Dan Shea (Siler) while Sam and Daniel are first looking up gate addresses in the Control Room

looking at something in Sgt. Siler's eye as Felger walks to the Control Room.

In the elevator with O'Neill when he first arrives at the SGC

sits in booth opposite and behind Daniel and Sheila Jameson (can see the back of his head)
