Geopolitical and Structural History

Not much is known about the history of the planet. The area around the Stargate was a rock filled clearing on a slight rise from surrounding forests. Ba'al had a stronghold here, but his base was never shown.

Stargate Command sent a type of computer virus, named "Avenger" by its creator Dr. Jay Felger to the planet. It was to scramble the glyph coding of the Dial Home Device (DHD) rendering that Stargate unusable for Ba'al. Ba'al discovered the virus, and he (and the Goa'uld Nerus) altered the virus and spread it to DHDs throughout the Stargate network, rendering the entire system unusable, except for Earth's, which had their own homemade dialing program (7.09 "Avenger 2.0", 9.16 "Off the Grid").

Major Samantha Carter and Felger went to the planet to try and disable the virus, believing it was a mistake in Felger's calculations (7.09 "Avenger 2.0"). The unusable Stargate was unguarded when they arrived. Felger discovered Ba'al's sabotage and realized the corrective program he had prepared would not work. Felger tried to rewrite the program while Carter defended them from approaching Jaffa patrols.

About to be overrun, the pair were rescued by backup fire from an al'kesh, driven by O'Neill and Teal'c, who travelled there from P3C-249 when they discovered Carter had gone to the planet with only the scientist. Felger and Carter disabled the virus and sent the anti-virus program through the network via the correlative dialing update. Carter assured General Hammond such a device would never be able to infect the Stargate network again.
