Geopolitical Structure and History

Nothing is known specifically about P2A-509 or its inhabitants (if the planet was inhabited). SG-3 was scheduled to go on a standard reconnaissance mission to the planet around the time SG-1 travelled to P3X-775. It is unclear whether or not their mission was delayed in their attempted search and rescue of SG-1, but Hammond ordered them to proceed with their scheduled mission at 0800.

In the meantime, SG-1 was imprisoned by the Taldor of P3X-775 on Hadante. Dr. Jackson was trying to think of possible Stargate addresses the team could manually dial so as to make their escape. As he was being chocked by Vishnor, one of the other prisoners, Daniel suddenly recalled SG-3's planned mission to P2A-509. It was one of the first things he exclaimed when he regained consciousness.

SG-1 dialed the Hadante Stargate using a power source provided by fellow prisoner, Linea. The group arrived on P2A-509 and rendezvoused with SG-3, who provided them a GDO, so they could return home. Unbeknownst to them, another prisoner, Simian, also fled through the Stargate behind them. SG-3 found Simian lurking near their base camp. They returned him to the SGC, where he revealed Linea was imprisoned for terrible crimes. She was known to the inhabitants of P3X-775 as "The Destroyer of Worlds."
