Summary
CIA Agent Burke shared a past with Col. Jack O'Neill during their Black Ops days. On a mission with a third operative, Woods, Burke killed Woods because his friend had turned traitor and was about to kill him. In order to protect Woods' family, Burke took the fall and was assigned to the undesirable location of Honduras. It was there that he and Jack were reunited, going in to extract Dr. Daniel Jackson and Dr. Bill Lee from being held captive by Honduran revolutionaries. Burke helped Jack save both men, and so Jack promised to help him get a nicer assignment (7.12 "Evolution Part 2").
