Storyline

Stargate Command has captured as many as 20 Ba'als and must weed out which one, if any, is the real Ba'al. They observe the Ba'als as they interact with each other — even going so far as to see them fight among themselves.

Eventually, they dwindle down the group to two who could possibly be the original Ba'al.

Will Ba'al finally reach his end, or will he be back to help SG-1 fight a bigger, badder enemy, such as the Ori, later on?

[From Cliff Simon at the Vancouver Con, March 24-26]

Production Notes

  • "I'm contracted for 16 episodes this season," Shanks says. "I'll probably be out of the fourth and fifth episodes and two others later on." — Michael Shanks, Michael Shanks Online Interview with Michael Shanks, January 2006.
  • "And Cliff Simon was in the office getting ready for a new Baal episode yesterday. What a villainous South African accent that guy has." — Alex Levine, script coordinator, in his blog at SciFi.com, March 17.
  • NID Agent Malcolm Barrett is in this episode, as reported by Gateworld, March 24.
