Summary
The Asgard were first met by Dr. Daniel Jackson and Captain Samantha Carter on the planet Cimmeria in the episode 2.06 "Thor's Chariot". They are called the "Roswell greys" by Carter. The Asgard have been Earth's most trusted ally in the wars against the Goa'uld and Replicators and have given Earth a tremendous amount of advanced technology, mostly for Earth's intergalactic spaceships, as thank you gifts for helping to save their race from certain annihilation.
