SG-1's alternate timeline selves embark on their mission to change the past in order to fix the future. They take the Ancient time machine to Chulak in order to retrieve Teal'c, the First Prime of the Goa'uld System Lord Apophis, hoping that he will have the same doubts about the Goa'uld being gods as Teal'c from the time travelers' tape. Not all of the team is successful in escaping with Teal'c into Egypt's past, but the remaining time travelers meet up with Daniel, the only survivor from the time traveling SG-1, and help him and the Egyptians organize the rebellion designed to keep the stargate on Earth.
