Geopolitical Structure and History

P8X-873 was a planet covered with sand and brushland. A large number of Jaffa were present on the planet. Although Horus guards (under Heru'ur most likely), they followed Apophis's queen Amaunet. Amaunet captured several of the Abydonians from their home, including her host's father, Kasuf.

No permanent structures were present in the area near the Stargate. A temporary cage held several Abydonian prisoners, and a nearby opulent small tent of silk was where Amaunet stayed.

The capture of the Abydonians was a ruse so that Heru'ur would not know Amaunet's true purpose, to reclaim her child, the Harcesis, and hide it away on Kheb, safe from the Goa'uld system lords and Daniel Jackson and the Tau'ri.

Somehow Kasuf got word to the Tau'ri of their predicament, including their location. Several SG teams, including SG-1 and SG-3, mounted a rescue mission on the planet. Kasuf pointed out Amaunet to his son-in-law and explained she had taken the child. Daniel killed one of her guards and approached Amaunet in her tent, while other SG members were exchanging fire with several Jaffa. Teal'c spent time covering Daniel Jackson's flank before following.

Amaunet activated her ribbon device, taking advantage of Daniel Jackson's reticence to kill her host, his wife. Teal'c entered the tent to find Daniel moments away from being killed. Sha're used the ribbon device to send comfort to her husband, beg him to search for her child on Kheb, and to forgive Teal'c for doing what he had to do.

Choiceless, Teal'c fired his staff weapon and killed Amaunet and Sha're. The Jaffa were routed, and the Abydonians saved.
