Geopolitical Structure and History

P3S-114 was a planet under the Goa'uld Ba'al's domain. On the planet was a garrison controlled by Lord Zarin, who was believed to be a minor Goa'uld following Ba'al. Unbeknownst to the Jaffa who followed her, Zarin was actually a Tok'ra spy. She was working undercover to gain intelligence on Ba'al’s movements and any other information that could help the Tok'ra resistence.

Although losing track of the Tok'ra after they left the Alpha Site, the SGC was still aware of the location of some Tok'ra operatives, including Zarin. When Jaffa worlds were succumbing to symbiote poison developed by the Tok'ra, Teal'c and another rebel Jaffa, M'zel, traveled to P3S-114 to try and find out why this was happening. They allowed themselves to be captured by Zarin’s Jaffa. Shocked at their appearance, Zarin ordered her guards to leave them so she could question them privately. In a heated, and at one point, violent, discussion, it was revealed the Tok'ra were not using the symbiote poison.

As they spoke, the Trust, who were actually behind the attacks, launched a chemical filled missile through Earth's stolen Stargate to P3S-114. It exploded in the atmosphere of the planet, releasing the symbiote poison. Zarin was killed by the poison, with M'zel and Zarin's Jaffa dying soon after. On tretonin, Teal'c was without a symbiote and thus immune to the toxin.
