Stromos on P2A-347

Summary

P2A-347 is a barren planet where the alien spaceship Stromos crashed on its way from Talthus to Ardena. It is a rocky, desert landscape.

When Officer Pharrin investigated the area after the crash, he could find little more than rock. The damage to the ship was apparently irreparable. He could not scavenge food to sustain the crew and passengers; nor were there enough supplies on board the ship. He worked to maintain the power to the stasis units on board the ship, but dared not use the dwindling energy to revive anyone else.

When the SGC’s MALP arrived on the planet, it picked up the Stromos’s distress call and SG-1 went to investigate. Already storing twelve other consciousnesses in his own mind, Pharrin saw SG-1 as potential homes for more of dying crew and passengers. In desperation he knocked them out and attempted to place them in the stasis chambers to download the minds of some of his people before power completely failed. He was only able to complete the process in Daniel Jackson before Teal’c awoke and rescued the others. Pharrin hid when he saw Teal’c awake.

Pharrin was found by Samantha Carter and Teal’c when they returned to the Stromos looking for a way to help Daniel’s condition. The two convinced him they could assist him in other ways. They provided a naquadah generator to provide power to the stasis chambers, and would use the Stargate to help the people of the Stromos find Ardena or an alternative world where they could live. In return, Pharrin removed the other consciousnesses occupying Daniel Jackson’s mind and added them to his own.
