Geopolitical Structure and History

P3X-866 is a volcanic world with vents of fire that pockmark the dry land. There is a sandy beach not far from the Stargate bordering a large sea. Under the water, not far from the shore, the Oannes alien Nem keeps his home.

Nem's home sits fully under the water, but the amphibious alien creature keeps the interior of the building air breathing. A forcefield helps keep water out. The building itself is low lit and very utilitarian. Panels in the wall can expose both bowls of food and a flat hard slab Nem expected his prisoner Daniel Jackson to rest upon.

Nem also has a lab in the facility that holds a circular chair device. Plastic straps hold in a subject, easily holding a human. The device affects the memory of its subject. Each member of SG-1 was subjected to the machine. Jack, Sam, and Teal'c were implanted with a violent memory of Daniel's death to ensure they would not return. Only times when bubbles in liquid recalled the traumatic experience of Nem's machine would they question this response. Daniel Jackson volunteered to go in the machine to retrieve any memories he may have of Nem's mate Omoroca when Nem otherwise refused to release him.
