Biography

Michael Shanks was born December 15, 1970, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In addition to his work as an actor, he has also written and directed episodes of Stargate SG-1. He is six feet tall.

He married Lexa Doig in 2003. They are expecting their first child in September 2004. With Vaitiare Bandera, who played Sha're, he has a daughter, born in 1998.
