He felt that since the Goa'uld symbiote inside of Teal'c was the only living specimen, that he had a right to ship Teal'c out to Langley (Air Force Base) and have it studied, without any regard for Teal'c's rights. General Hammond obtained orders from the President that forced Kennedy to return to the Pentagon empty-handed. Kennedy was promoted and replaced by Col. Harry Maybourne as the representative of the NID who interacted with the SGC on matters of aliens and their technology that were introduced to Earth through the operations of Stargate Command. Summary
