Summary
Major General Henry "Hank" Landry was hand-picked by Gen. Jack O'Neill to take his place as the commander of Stargate Command (SGC) after O'Neill was promoted to head up Homeworld Security. As a former Vietnam War fighter pilot, Landry is familiar with the challenges of war and has been said to have a sterner attitude than the previous generals who have commanded the SGC base. He has studied the generals of history and has memorized many of their quotes, using them to break the ice with tough alien leaders upon first meeting them.
