Summary

From MGM: A Harvard educated aide to, and daughter of, Senator Alan Armstrong. Though privilege had gotten her through most of her life she has since made a choice to be more than another trust fund kid. Her dedication to her work helped convince her father of the importance of the Icarus program. Forced with challenges far beyond those of a political aide, Chloe throws herself into helping the crew find a way home and finding the emotional connections she never had on Earth.

Before Joining the Stargate Program

"I'm playing Chloe Armstrong, who is the daughter and aide of a U.S. Senator. I think it's safe to say that Chloe is definitely the most fish out of water. She's got a bit of a wild side to her despite her demur appearance. She's had a really privileged upbringing, so really hasn't to want for anything. You know, I don't think she's had to work as hard as a lot of other people to get to where she is. She doesn't have military, medical, or, you know, very little scientific training, so in the beginning, she feels useless. She's figuring out who she really is and I think she's starting to realize that the life she lived before was superficial in many ways and that she wants to make something of herself, to give back because she herself had been given so much." (Elyse Levesque, MGM Character Profile video)

Icarus Base and Destiny

Stunning and sexy. Daughter of a U.S. Senator. Silver spoon upbringing and a little spoiled but not stupid either. Politically and socially savvy. Dreams of following in her father’s footsteps but for now she’s a bit of a party girl in her first year at an Ivy League school. Her father’s tragic death and the dire circumstances of being trapped on a spaceship seriously tests her character. (Character Breakdown)

"Chloe is a strong, in the physical sense, intelligent young woman. She is still a young woman and she's still confused and discovering who she is and how she is going to survive in this new life. You know what I think is great about all these characters? They're all human, they're all flawed but it's how they band together that makes them who they are and it's an honour to continue playing these characters that so many women all over the world look up to." (Elyse Levesque, Moviehole interview, August 11, 2009)

Chloe Armstrong and her father, U.S. Senator Alan Armstrong, are part of a tour of the Icarus Base when it comes under attack. After becoming stranded on the Destiny, Chloe uses the Ancient Communications Stones to swap bodies with someone on Earth. She and Eli Wallace go to a bar where she hears her friends speak badly about her. Her heart is broken to learn that people were her "friends" only because she was the daughter of a U.S. Senator.
