The Villagers of Ver Ager are humans who live in a far galaxy thought to be the original home of the Ancients. The Ancients were known as the Altera when they left that galaxy millions of years ago and found a new home in the Milky Way. Daniel Jackson and Vala Mal Doran met these villagers when they used Ancient communications technology. Three of the villagers were killed as a result of this contact because they were revealed to be heretics in opposition to the Ori, powerful Ascended Beings who claim to be humanity's creators and gods.
