The Russian Army, also known as the Russian Ground Forces, has had a presence in both the
Russian Stargate Program and the
American Stargate Program. Based on an agreement between the two countries' governments, there was, at one time, a Russian Stargate Team (6.16 "Metamorphosis"). Now, Russians are part of
Stargate Command (SGC), serving in various positions in the Program (8.03 "Lockdown").
