Andrea Palmer was among the survivors of the attack on Icarus Base. She, along with about 80 others, evacuated through the Stargate to the Ancients' exploration vessel ''Destiny''. When the ship's air supply system was failing due to the lack of calcium carbonate to scrub out the carbon dioxide, Palmer was assigned to the first away team to go off-world to a planet picked out by the ''Destiny'''s computer as having the lime they needed. ''Destiny'' also listed four other planets nearby, but these were inaccessible because the ship locked them out. After seeing only sand everywhere on the planet ''Destiny'' chose, Palmer and Sgt. Curtis decided to override the lock-out and search the next planet on the list, but as it turned out, there was a good reason why the planet was locked out, and after the two stepped through the Stargate, they were never heard from again. Andrea Palmer

Summary

Geologist Andrea Palmer was among the survivors of the attack on Icarus Base. She, along with about 80 others, evacuated through the Stargate to the Ancients' exploration vessel Destiny. When the ship's air supply system was failing due to the lack of calcium carbonate to scrub out the carbon dioxide, Palmer was assigned to the first away team to go off-world to a planet picked out by the Destiny's computer as having the lime they needed. Destiny also listed four other planets nearby, but these were inaccessible because the ship locked them out. After seeing only sand everywhere on the planet Destiny chose, Palmer and Sgt. Curtis decided to override the lock-out and search the next planet on the list, but as it turned out, there was a good reason why the planet was locked out, and after the two stepped through the Stargate, they were never heard from again.
