==Summary==

P2C-257 was Goa'uld occupied planet located relatively close to Earth–a full day's journey by Goa'uld cargo/scout ship at maximum speed.  The planet was visited by SG-14, who spent several days covertly monitoring a naquadah mining operation on the planet.  The Tok'ra sent Selmak (Jacob Carter) to the planet in a cloaked scout ship to conduct a sabotage operation.  He was to blow up a shipment of weapons grade naquadah, which would have resulted in destroying the planet.

Twenty minutes before detonation, Jacob, in his cloaked ship, observed his daughter, Sam, and Daniel Jackson coming through the Stargate.  He compromised the operation by decloaking and  ringing them aboard, thus causing his ship to be detected.  The two had been surreptitiously alerted to a Tok'ra operative's presence on the planet by Anise.  They came to find him because his was the only ship within range able to save Teal'c and Jack O'Neill, who were stranded in a sabotaged X-301 glider.  Jacob abandoned his mission, and the three immediately left the planet.  Since Jacob did not detonate the naquadah, presumably the planet still exists.
