==Summary==
Amelius was an Alteran who lived millions of years ago in the Ori galaxy (Stargate: The Ark of Truth).  He was amongst the group decided to break away from their Ori brethren and leave for another galaxy.  He was a strong proponent for activating the Ark of Truth to help the others see the light, and may have been its inventor.  Amelius was overruled.  He almost defied the other Alterans by activating the device before they left in their spaceship, but was talked out of it by an Alteran woman.  As they left the cave containing the ark, an Ancient communication device with stones, and other technical equipment, Amelius grabbed his notebook, which contained preliminary designs for a Stargate.  He explained to the woman that he had "an amazing idea" come to him the previous night.
