==Summary==

SG-12 was declared one of the "new SG units" in the Season Two episode, 2.02 "In The Line Of Duty", along with SG-10 and SG-11. It is possible that their first mission was stated in that episode as being one of the units to help find a planet to relocate the Nasyans. 
Most of SG-12's missions have been either as a combat force or for search and recovery missions.

==Seasons Two Through Six==

One of SG-12's first missions, if not the first mission was under Col. O'Neill and SG-1's command (2.02 "In The Line Of Duty").  SG-1, SG-10, SG-11, and SG-12 were to coordinate and find a new homeworld for the Nasyans displaced by a Goa'uld attack.  No mention was made of any individual team members at that time.

The next mission where SG-12 is mentioned is when the SGC and Tok'ra do a joint reconnaissance to a world where the alien boy "Charlie" and his "Mother" informed them that a base of rebel Reetou existed (2.20 "Show and Tell").  SG-12 and one of the Tok'ra guarded the the rear as SG-1 and the others moved forward.  The teams returned to the SGC when they discovered an extremely large number of Reetou on the planet. 

==Season Seven==

It wasn't until Season Seven that SG-12 is mentioned by name again.  After Daniel Jackson had the consciousness of twelve people downloaded into his head on a mission with SG-1, Samantha Carter and Teal'c returned to location, the downed ship ''Stromos'', with SG-12 (7.06 "Lifeboat").  While Sam studied the cryogenic systems, SG-12 searched the ship for whoever caused this to happen.  They remained in radio contact.  Pharrin was eventually discovered by Sam and Teal'c.

SG-12 went to P3X-403 to provide military back-up for SG-11 after there was a battle fought between SGC personnel and the Unas settlement there (7.07 "Enemy Mine"). While on patrol, Lt. Woeste of SG-12 killed an Unas when he mistakenly concluded that the Unas was attacking.  The Unas was actually attempting to retrieve the necklace it had lost during the previous battle at the scene. When Lt. Woeste realized his mistake, he was horrified. Col. Edwards, commander of SG-11, did not hold him responsible. Fortunately, Daniel Jackson was able to negotiate an agreement with the Unas before any more blood was shed.

SG-1, SG-3, and SG-12, with a group of rebel Jaffa led by Bra'tac, went to a planet held by the Goa'uld Ramius in order to capture a Kull Warrior (7.11 "Evolution Part 1").  Bra'tac had intelligence the warrior would arrive there to attempt an assassination of Ramius.  The Kull Warrior arrived.  The teams' ambush went according to plan, but the Kull Warrior was able to break through the shield cage entrapping it and deflect or withstand any and all of the firepower launched against it.  The firefight was detected by Ramius's Jaffa, and all of the teams and Rebel Jaffa surrendered after they were cut off from the Stargate.  After the Kull Warrior attacked Ramius's base, Col. O'Neill and Teal'c were able to convince one of their guards to set the teams free, and everyone escaped.  It is unclear what, if any, casualties were suffered by SG-12 during this mission.

==Season Eight==

During a mission to P2X-887, SG-3 lost contact with SG-1, and an al'kesh swept over the Stargate (8.04 "Zero Hour").  Gen. O'Neill ordered SG-10 and SG-12 to back up SG-3 as they attempted a search and rescue for the missing SG-1.  The teams came back without finding a trace of SG-1.  As it turned out, SG-1 had accidentally activated a ring transporter to a hidden lab and could not get back out for days.  SG-1 eventually escaped on their own and returned home.

SG-12, along with SG-3 and SG-6, were the force led by Lt. Col. Samantha Carter and Teal'c to retrieve Dr. Daniel Jackson from Tegalus (8.05 "Icon").  An insurrection, which led to a war between the two major superpowers on the planet happened while Daniel was there.  Daniel was severely injured and contact with him was cut off for a time.  He eventually succeeded in reaching the SGC by radio and offered a coded plan.  SG-1, SG-3, SG-6, and SG-12 succeeded in extracting Daniel and helping the government regain some military control of their headquarters it had been usurped by a religious zealot.

==Season Nine==

SG-12 has seen a great deal of action under the command of General Landry, even though the Air Force General found them stereotypical marines.  After a meeting with them, he informed Col. Mitchell:  "Cocky sons of bitches.  Marines.  Never liked them."  However, it did not stop Landry from ordering the team ordered to meet Vala Mal Doran at a neutral planet and check her for weapons before being let into the SGC (9.01 "Avalon Part 1").  As Vala put it, "Thank you so much for the lovely greeting party. We all had a wonderful time searching each other, didn't we, boys?"  Although they searched her and the contents of her case thoroughly, they could detect no danger.  As it turned out, one of the devices, though giving off no energy readings at the time, was a set of kor mak bracelets, which Vala used to hold Daniel Jackson hostage until she could get her "fair share" of the treasure to which the tablet she provided them should lead.

When Dr. Lindsay reported a Prior of the Ori had arrived on P3X-421 to convert the population to this unknown religion, Col. Mitchell and SG-12 arrived to determine what type of threat the posed through his performing of miracles in an attempt to promote his gods (9.03 "Origin Part 3") . When the Prior professed knowledge of Daniel Jackson, who at the time was in a coma, SG-12 and Mitchell escorted the Prior back to Stargate Command.

The leader of SG-12 towards the end of Season Nine at least, was Major Hadden.  Lt. McKenzie, and Conway and Stevens (both of undetermined rank) made up the rest of unit.  This does not appear to be all of the same members that existed during the beginning of Season Nine.  During a mission to P8T-474, the natives informed the team that a Prior of the Ori warned the doomsday they prophesied would occur within a few days (9.18 "Arthur's Mantle").

Still on base, they were called to action soon after arriving back on base to accompany Teal'c after the SGC received a distress call from the Sodan (9.18 "Arthur's Mantle").  They arrived on P9G-844 and used the Eye of the Gods to travel close to the Sodan village.  Both around the Stargate and by the Eye of the Gods at the village location, they found evidence of staff weapons fire.  They cautiously investigated, and discovered the Sodan village destroyed.  Maj. Hadden ordered Conway and Stevens to return to the Stargate and report to the SGC.  The rest entered the village and found everyone except Haikon dead.

Conway and Stevens only made it as far as the Eye of the Gods before they were attacked by Volnek.  He ambushed them, and they could not return fire because Volnek was hidden by a Sodan cloaking device.  Conway was able to call for backup on his radio before he was wounded. Stevens was killed, and Conway seriously injured by Volnek's attack.  When Teal'c and Hadden arrived, they found the pair and that the Eye of the Gods had been disabled.  They were stranded.  After SG-3 and SG-22 (and an out of phase Col. Mitchell) arrived when Teal'c and SG-3 missed their check-in, the group came up with a successful plan to destroy Volnek and return.
