Hey all.
Not so long ago I watched The season five episode "Wormhole X-treme!" I like to let my mind fiddle around with things, and I'm just standing by and watching what it comes up with. I look upon myself as a sane man, with a few srews and bolts not firmly tightened. So, after watching "Wormhole X-treme!" my mind came up with this: In the episode they talk about plausible deniability. If someone leaks to the world that humans step through the stargate on a daily basis, they can refer to the show and say: "You watch too much TV." So far, so good. But... What if there really is a "stargate" (I hope I don't end up in a mental institution for saying this, or locked up deep down in area 51)? Or some sort of device to communicate with beings of other planets. Throughout history there has been many speculations about coverups and so forth (e.g. the Roswell Incident, Area 51). I think that there has to be some sort of truth in these speculations and witness accounts. We can't be alone in this vast universe, it's too big for that. This is where I stopped my mind to wonder any farther. Feel free to add your thoughts.
And again; I look upon myself as a sane man (insane people say this all the time).

Lol you really do watch too much TV. I've often wondered if Stargate is a cover-up, but never in any real manner, because I don't beleive that real Aliens exist. But I do think there is an Area Fifty-One. Have you seen the bounus feature on Ark of Truth where one of the writers talked about the "Stargate Command" door in Chyanne Mountian?

I think in the dvd commentary for Point of No Return (the first Martin Lloyd episode), they talked about finding some odd conspiracy sites where some people did believe the SG-1 series/Stargate movie was just a front of plausible deniability for a real program, and ended up creating the character of Martin.
As for your idea. I certainly believe we're not alone out here. (Look at the planets we're finding every day through long range telescopes and how not unique our solar system is), even if I've very skeptical of all the conspiracy theories out there.
As for the Stargate program, apparently it's a broom closet in NORAD (wonder if they're moving it as they shut down Cheyenne Mountain?)

WHAT? They're shutting the mountian down? Part of the Base Realignment plan. They're moving/have moved by now most of the operations to nearby Peterson AFB. Military to idle NORAD Compound

Oh, didn't notice all the replies here. My mind wonders again to "Children Of The Gods". One of the first lines: "They've been shipping personell out of here for months." LOL! As for the Stargate program, apparently it's a broom closet in NORAD
Yes. You're right. Martin Wood said on some convention that he went on a tour in Cheyenne Mountain. He saw this door with a big, heavy lock on it. The sign said: Stargate Command. He asked; "What's in there?" "Err... Brooms... And some... detergent." I just stumbled upon this: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091019/ap_on_sc/us_sci_new_planets

I think in one of the Season Nine or Ten ones, but can't recall offhand.

There are actually many mysteries and conspiracies of which many shows spawn from. The Roswell crash and the Mayan calendar (2012 ending) being one of the favorites. And actually I found the Stargate SG-1 shoes because i love reading about philosophy and metaphysics and there is a conspiracy called Camelot of a man that talks about the airforce having a stargate and doing remote viewing. There is famous talk about a city under in Colorado (of all places!) built by Masons and for the preservation of people if there are disaster and there is talk that is where the president goes when there is a threat. Here are some links in case you are interested in reading! I find all that fascinating. There is a saying that when there is noise in the river is because is drafting rocks. So, who knows? http://www.projectcamelot.net/dan_burisch.htmlhttp://www.coasttocoastam.com/http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/gallery/index.php

Thanks for the links, Nirmankaya. There is an underground military/naval facility aprox. 10 minutes by car from where I live. I have been there twice: When I was in kinder garden (a tour for the public), and a funeral in the naval chapel. But we were never underground, as I recall. I took a picture of some people outside the chapel after the funeral. A guy in uniform looked kind of strange at me, (Hmmmm!) but he found that I didn't catch anything sensitive on film I guess. Hehe! overtoast

Do you live in Colorado?
Nope. I live in Norway. I've read through a transcripts of one of the interviews with Dan Burisch. Future, past, paradoxes, J-Rods, J-Rod/human hybrids... Hokey smoke bullwinkle! I don't know what to believe! And why has he been allowed to say all this to the public? Because it is true and the truth is so unbelievable that noone will believe it? Or is he a man with a troubled childhood and an extremely lively imagination, as a means to escape from reality, + watching too much TV? In my mind, he raises more questions than answers; and that... well, lets just say 51 % chance that he is someone with lively imagination, and 49 % that he actually is telling the truth. I really don't know. To someone who is absolutely sure that the government is hiding something of this magnitude from the public his words will be almost 99 % truth (I think). But someone who does not think like that, but enjoys to think like that sometimes, he will be a truthmaker. LOL! Just made up that word. Truthmaker: A person who makes something up and calls it "the Truth". Anyway... overtoast
